Metro Detroit Weekend Events

Motor City Comic Con returns to Novi this weekend, bringing one of Metro Detroit’s biggest pop culture celebrations to the Vibe Credit Union Showplace from May 15-17. Attendees can expect a packed weekend of celebrity appearances, comic creators, panels, vendors, cosplay, and fan experiences, with scheduled guests including Hayley Atwell, Johnny Yong Bosch, John Boyega, Kit Harington, Simon Pegg, Karl Urban, and Patrick Warburton. Weekend adult passes are $105, with individual day passes also available.

Flower Day returns to Eastern Market this Sunday, bringing one of Detroit’s favorite spring traditions back with more than 150 flower vendors ready to fill the market with color, plants, and garden inspiration. Visitors can shop a wide variety of flowers, enjoy live music, grab food from local vendors, and experience the energy of one of the city’s most iconic public markets. The event takes place May 17 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. with free admission.

Pine Knob Food Truck Rally brings a family-friendly Friday night to Pine Knob Music Theatre on May 15, featuring more than 30 food trucks, live music, kids entertainment, and a beer tent. Guests can enjoy a wide variety of food options while spending the evening at one of Metro Detroit’s most recognizable outdoor venues. The event runs from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. with free admission.

The Hot Wheels Legends Tour rolls into Dearborn this weekend, bringing the world’s largest traveling car show and custom car competition to 5851 Mercury Drive on May 16, 2026. Guests can check out life-size Garage of Legends vehicles, a Kid Zone, a die-cast vending truck, a Fast and Furious car, a life-size Masters of the Universe Bone Shaker, and a Hot Wheels Formula 1 car, while builders compete for the chance to have their custom ride turned into an official 1:64-scale Hot Wheels die-cast car. Detroit is one of only 12 North American stops, and admission is free.

The Michigan Science Center opens A-MAZING Detroit this weekend, a limited-time interactive exhibit that brings a life-sized cardboard maze to Mi-Sci. Guests can explore murals inspired by Detroit, discover cultural touchpoints throughout the maze, and follow the paths into different areas of the museum. The fully accessible exhibit includes multiple exits and is included with the cost of general admission.
