Boris Lurie Holocaust Art Exhibition at Zekelman Holocaust Center

The Zekelman Holocaust Center in Farmington Hills is hosting “Boris Lurie: Nothing To Do But To Try,” a unique art exhibition by Holocaust survivor Boris Lurie. Winter at The Station returns to Michigan Central in Detroit this weekend, kicking off a six-week holiday run from November 14 through December 28. The event transforms The Station into a seasonal gathering place, with The Shop at Michigan Central showcasing one-of-a-kind gifts from Detroit artisans and local retailers in rotating pop-ups. Visitors can enjoy live music, Detroit-made food and beverage options, hands-on creative workshops, and other family-friendly activities, all with free entry throughout the season.

Jingle & Mingle Underground Market returns to Ferndale this weekend, taking over the basement level of The Dot parking structure November 15 and 16. This two-day pop-up features “artists and makers, authors and bakers,” offering uncommon and edgy gifts for the harder-to-shop-for people in your life. Shoppers can browse unique goods while enjoying music, food, games, and hands-on art projects, all in a festive underground setting at The Dot parking garage.

Art for the Holidays 2025 opens this weekend at the Detroit Artists Market, launching a seasonal shopping showcase that runs November 14 through December 20. Nearly 1,500 unique, handmade works from about 100 local artists will be available, including ceramics, textiles, paintings, jewelry, and more. With free entry, this long-running Detroit tradition offers an easy way for the public to support local artists while finding one-of-a-kind holiday gifts.

Motor City Comic Con returns to Novi this weekend, running November 14–16 at Suburban Collection Showplace (46100 Grand River Ave.). Michigan’s premiere pop culture event will feature a full slate of celebrity guests offering meet and greet, photo, and autograph opportunities for an additional cost, including John DiMaggio, Juliette Lewis, Matthew Lillard, Alan Tudyk, Stephen Amell, Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake, Catherine Bell, Linda Blair, and many more.
